1. margarert brn march,4,1795 on bapt it has marie  marguerite Restel baptized  22,may,1795 drt of john Restel & marie joseph Bergeron,married jean Bellier or john Blair
2.mary brn april,21.1797 on baptismn it has marie Rossel baptized 11,june,1797 drt of john Rossel & marie joseph Bergeron, married richard or edward Power
3.jane brn 1800,married edward or richard Power
4. john brn aug,3,1802 married abt 1827 july,27 elizabeth Murray of Scotland in Beresefor N.B.
5.martha brn 1805 married john Power
6. james brn 1808 married agnes ann (nancy) Howland
7. peter brn 1812 married rachael Howland ( peter and rachael settled in Kennebec Maine)

with the great help of Bill  MR William Flowers we have learned that john Restell or john Russell married to marie joseph Bergeron was a private in 31st  Regiment of Foot British Army,entered service abt 1775,was in Capt.Green`s company 1782 brn abt 1758

1elizabeth brn abt 1830 baptized 25 july,1830 sponors were frederic Comier & antoinette Comier Petit Rocher N.B. on bapt surname is spelled Rousselle
2.margaret brn june 25,1832 baptized sept 22,1832 sponors were nazaire Comier & emilie Doucet Petit Rocher N.B. on bapt surname is spelled Rousselle
3.roseanne brn abt 1834

I am missing one child here for there is 13 children of john & elizabeth Russell robert is the 13th child

robert Russell brn may 20,1856 Belledune N.B. bapt jan 5,1857 Petit Rocher N.B. married in 1896 martha miriam Matthews of Belledune N.B. drt of william richard Matthews & margaret Blair. they had 5 child there youngest joseph harold Russell brn june,13,1904 Belledune N.B. married flora ann Gray brn march 29,1908 Belledune N.B. drt of robert Gray & elizabeth Pitre, before robert married martha miriam Matthews he had 2 children in U.S.A. with a women named emma Curo robert Russell jr brn july,4,1885 Duluth MN and mary elizabeth Russell brn 1887 U.S.A. we do not know if robert and emma were ever married or not, robert brought his 2 children from u.s.a. back to his hometown of Belledune N.B. and his older sister elizabeth Russell raised them..
my grandfather joseph harold (harold) Russell at abt age 17 joined American Army for whatever reason and was stationed in Hawai in the Hawaian ilands and there he met his half brother robert Russell jr,if robert Russell jr was in American Army or just living in Hawaii is unknowen to us.
robert Russell died oct 13,1904 Belledune N.B. his wido martha miriam Russell (Matthews) in 1906 married john Russell son of samuel Russell & teresa Godin they had 3 children brn in Belledune N.B. this samuel Russell was either son or grandson of james Russell brn 1808 & agnes ann (nancy) Howland
mary elizabeth Russell brn 1887 U.S.A. married in New Brunswick Canada john f Noel.

This is not fact but has been said that margaret Russell brn 1795 drt of john Russell or Restell & marie joseph Bergeron married john Blair,and their son james Blair married margaret Daigle and their drt margaret Blair married william richard (richard) Matthews of England,and their drt martha miriam Matthews 1st married robert Russell 2nd married john Russell. And apparently the Blair name was origianaly Belair but this has not yet been proven.

Also unconfirmed info has it that john Russell or john Restell was a Lord john Russell and was casted out for marring a french women and leaving a wife and children.

these Russell`s are all a mystery would love if anyone out there had some info on any of them.

John Restell of the 31st of Foot also had a marriage previous to the one with Marie Joseph Bergeron. It appears that he was previously married to a Sarah Nanson of Quebec City.  That marriage occurred on 24 Apr 1780 according to the register of the Metropolitan Church of Quebec.
