Jul 2010
REF I am going back to Jersey (Channel Islands) in September hoping to find out more on the following Jersey island names to which I am attached
AHIER NEEL BRIARD BLOUET VICQ GAUDIN QUENAULT and perhaps CHEDORE/CHEFDOUR
I am not sure I can do any detailed research for anybody but I can do lookups if you send me some details and I can also take pictures of places where perhaps some of your ancestors live.  I do have some pictures of St. Brelade Grouville and St. Clement if anybody has ancestors in those places...

I have been trying to locate any information re: Frances Journeau who married Sarah Travers, Bonaventure County. Seems the man was hatched because aside from his marriage and early death by drowning, I can't find out anything re: when he and /or his family landed in Canada from Jersey? He is the first Journeau in my family history, and I can't get back any further which is very frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Sharon,

Why don't you try posting your message to Raymond Garrett's board, too?  He has a category in his forum area just on "Channel Island Settlers."

I'm looking at Susan's people Philip Chedore and Martha Ahier. I have that they had a son named Francis Thomas Chedore and he married Susan Allen. Their child was Alexander Chedore who married Clara Jane Hall, my GG Aunt. They had two daughters, Grace Lillian and Susan. I would very much like to know what happened to them, if they married, had children, etc. If anyone knows about them, let me know.

Hello Susan,

Yes, thank you for your offer of more information on the Philip Chedore/Martha Ahier line. There is a definite connection between our two families by the marriage of Francis Chedore's son Alexander and my GG Aunt Clara Jane Hall.

I would be delighted to learn more about Grace Lillian Chedore Wiseman's family. She was my 1st cousin twice removed. I had a great aunt who lived in Minnesota, who I remember fondly, who maintained contact with Grace Lillian over the years. Unfortunately, I didn't know about that until recently, many, many years after both ladies had passed away.

I am very interested in knowing about and of the descendants of Daniel Hall and Elizabeth Emma McGuire. Much of the information I have I got from you several years ago as well as from some others in this forum.

Thanks so much. My E mail address is in my profile on this Web page. Please write when ever you wish.

My names for New Carlisle include Astles and its spelling variations, Flowers, Lane, Morrison and Gillis. I am eager to communicate with others researching these names and will start discussions specifically for those names that do not already have an ongoing dialog here.

Feel free to start new topics for surnames under "Other Surnames."  For the "Flowers" surname, please include discussions about that family under "The descendants of Robert Flowers and Alice Pennington" found under the "Robert Flowers/Alice Pennington Family" board.
