Looking for any clues for my mysterious Joseph Walker. The few facts I have are as follows:

Joseph Walker, Blacksmith, of the City of London, b. abt. 1782, d. 25 Jun 1834 New Carlisle
He m. abt. 1818,  Mary Smith, d/o David Smith Sr. & Margaret Teague.

Children:
Anne Walker b. 1819 poss. Restigouche County, NB, m. 06 Jun 1844 Amasa Chatterton
Jane Walker b. 17 Aug 1821 New Carlisle
James Walker b. 11 Oct 1823 New Carlisle (was a witness at his mother's burial)
John Edward Walker b. 05 Jan 1826 New Carlisle, m. 18 Jun 1849 Margaret Susan Huntington
William Walker b. 21 Oct 1827 New Carlisle
Sarah Walker b. 08 Nov 1829 New Carlisle
Margaret Walker b. 12 May 1834 New Carlisle

1825 Census - Number in family = 5 (only 1 reference to Walker)
1831 Census - Number in family = 6 (only 1 reference to Walker, spelled Walaker in transcription)
Occupation given in baptismal records of children
Joseph's place of origin given at daughter Margaret's baptism & at his burial - note that Joseph died one month prior to the birth of his last daughter. I haven't seen where Joseph has stated himself that he was from London.
Joseph's approximate age of 52 given at burial
Mary Smith's parents are named at daughter Margaret's baptism

On occasion, I have seen Joseph's father's name given as Joseph Walker also, but with no supporting proof.

Thanks, Hazel
